The elongated, twisted black tea leaves produce a light brown infusion when watered. The taste is dominated by sweet aroma of Turkish honey and finishes with the delicious taste of baked apple. (9)820275 South India Paralai Black ORGANIC NEW 60 g 1 kg 1 The garden is located at an altitude of 1,600 metres above sea level in the Anamallais district, which is characterised by a diverse ecosystem and numerous water bodies. The area is home to many species of wildlife, including large herds of elephants. The watering of the small black leaves produces a brown-orange brine. The aroma and taste are reminiscent of orange and fine chocolate. Kenya The first tea trees were planted by British colonists in 1903 as an experiment in Limuru, Kiambu region. Production grew steadily, and tea became a key part of the national economy. In 1964, the Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA) was founded to support small-scale farmers and promote cultivation. Today, tea is mainly grown in the Kenyan highlands at altitudes of 1,520–2,750 metres above sea level. The majority of tea is processed using the CTC method for bagged teas, while a smaller portion consists of orthodox teas exported worldwide.
